xTool MetalFab

The xTool MetalFab is an all-in-one metal fabrication system that combines three capabilities in a single machine: laser welding, CNC laser cutting, and laser cleaning for rust and paint removal. Available in 800W and 1200W configurations, it supports a wide range of metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, brass, titanium, and galvanized sheet — making it suitable for custom fabrication, signage, repairs, and small-batch manufacturing.

The 1200W model offers greater cutting and welding capacity. It can weld metals up to 5mm thick (stainless steel and carbon steel) and cut carbon steel up to 10mm burr-free, compared to 4mm welding and 8mm cutting on the 800W. The 1200W also delivers higher rated power (4200W vs 3000W) and a longer cable length (5m vs 3.5m). For light fabrication and occasional use, the 800W is a cost-effective entry point; for production environments or thicker metals, the 1200W is the better investment

Yes. The base MetalFab Laser Welder supports handheld welding and cleaning, but precision CNC cutting requires the separate CNC Cutter unit. The CNC Cutter attaches to the welder and provides a 610 × 610 mm (24" × 24") automated cutting bed with pass-through capability. If you plan to do both welding and precision cutting, the 1200W Welder + Cutter bundle is the recommended configuration.
